It could be Leonardo DiCaprio, Britney Spears, Cher, Warren Beatty, or Rod Stewart you see heading into Gucci or Armani, or strolling along, laden with bags from Cartier, Hermes or Ferragamo. All these stars have been spotted here, as have many of Hollywood’s most famous faces. It's great fun to check out the luxury goods on display while peoplewatching for a familiar face! |

Or it may be that they are just coming from a store even more exclusive than all of these -- the most expensive clothing store in the world. Open only by appointment, this is where shoppers can expect to pay $50 for a pair of socks, or $15,000 (and up) for a suit. Beyond the shopping district of Rodeo Drive (just three blocks long) the street becomes residential, lined with mansions. Among the stars who have lived here are Gene Kelly (he died at his home at 725 Rodeo Drive), Jackie Cooper and Carl Reiner. |
