The Kodak TheaterIf you’ve watched the gala finales of American Idol or (in this century) the Academy Awards on television, then you’ve seen the glorious interior of the Kodak Theatre. Able to seat 3,400 people, it has a stage that is 113 feet by 60 feet, among the largest in the nation. Since opening in 2001, it has hosted dance shows, Broadway musicals, symphony and opera performances, concerts by Céline Dion and Barry Manilow, and even the 2006 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. |

Lining the grand staircase is a gallery of every winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture since the first was awarded for 1927/1928. How many of these great films have you seen? How many can you name?
For millions of movie lovers, watching the pre-show event outside the Kodak Theatre is as much a part of their Oscar Night ritual as the awards ceremony itself. You'll be able to say "I was there" when you watch next year's Oscar Night ceremony. |
